Last Thursday, a preliminary hearing was held before Pulaski County Circuit Judge Chris Piazza on a lawsuit filed last summer to strike down an Arkansas constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, approved by seventy-four percent of voters ten years ago. The new education standard known as Common Core continues to be introduced into public schools across Arkansas, this year in the 3rd through 8th grades. All but five states have adopted Common Core since it was first introduced in 2010. We take you into a local middle school to give you a glimpse of the new curriculum.
