The Fayetteville Public Schools’ Bookmobile is making an impact, through books, on young members of the community in an effort to combat summer learning loss. Catch up with them Monday, July 21 and again July 28 at the following locations:
- 9:30- Red Oak Park (Carlsbad/Boxley/Bridgeport Subdivision area off Wedington)
- 10:15- The Links at Wedington (at the roundabout in the middle of the complex)
- 11:00- Woodway Apartments (by the complex pool)
- 11:45- Crofton Manor off Mt. Comfort (on Hatterly Street)
- 12:10- Washington Plaza Apartments (Under a grove of trees towards the back entrance of the complex)
The Beaver Lake Sailing Club, headquartered near Lost Bridge, is not only a historic recreational club, the membership is engaged in numerous charitable events. The Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week begins tonight in Fayetteville. The event is a collaboration of local designers and boutiques, and hopes to benefit area charities.

Becca Bacon Martin from Northwest Arkansas Newspapers says two different events in Fort Smith demand our attention.
Ozarks at Large’s Iti Agnihotri-Mudholkar spoke with documentary filmmaker Ian Cheney regarding his documentary film “The City Dark.” The film deals with the issue of light pollution.
“The City Dark” will be screened next Monday at 5:30 p.m. inside Verizon Ballroom in the University of Arkansas Union. The screening is part of a new series launched by the U of A Honors College called “Honors College Invites” which hopes to bring scholars and experts to the region to benefit the community.
