The Fayetteville Public Schools’ Bookmobile is making an impact, through books, on young members of the community in an effort to combat summer learning loss. Catch up with them Monday, July 21 and again July 28 at the following locations:
- 9:30- Red Oak Park (Carlsbad/Boxley/Bridgeport Subdivision area off Wedington)
- 10:15- The Links at Wedington (at the roundabout in the middle of the complex)
- 11:00- Woodway Apartments (by the complex pool)
- 11:45- Crofton Manor off Mt. Comfort (on Hatterly Street)
- 12:10- Washington Plaza Apartments (Under a grove of trees towards the back entrance of the complex)
The Beaver Lake Sailing Club, headquartered near Lost Bridge, is not only a historic recreational club, the membership is engaged in numerous charitable events. Ahead on this edition of Weekend Ozarks, we visit the kitchen of Jen Lewis, take a spin in a state-run clinic that aids veterans in rural communities, and we meet a recovering opiate addict who has found hope with methadone.
We do a site visit at a new outdoor adventure park located just west of Eureka Springs. The 30-acre canopy zipline course, which traverses a long twisting valley, contains numerous exit and entry platforms, some in trees. Construction is complete. Ozark Mountain Ziplines is expected to open in March.
Two exciting assemblages tonight: an all-star concert at Fayetteville Underground and the Harlem Ambassadors in Bentonville.
