The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation recently awarded this rural advocacy organization a $175,000. Rural Community Alliance will use a portion of the funds for a community revitalization project in Southeast Arkansas. Joe Neal is author of "Birds in Northwestern Arkansas: An Ecological Perspective" available at Nightbird Books in Fayetteville. He is also coauthor, with Douglas James, of “Arkansas Birds,” published by the University of Arkansas press.
